The Pacific-AA Foundation initially allocated 2.5 billion kyats (equivalent to 2500 million kyats) as part of its first-phase support for victims of the recent earthquake. In response to further identified needs, the Foundation has committed an additional 5.5 billion kyats (5500 million kyats) as part of a second-phase initiative.
The Foundation is pleased to announce a total contribution of 8 billion kyats (8000 million kyats) in humanitarian assistance and donations.
The second phase of support comprises the following:
1. Medical Equipment Donation: A contribution of over 17,034,000 units (17 million) of 1cc syringes under the Nipro brand, valued at 3.79 billion kyats (379 million kyats), donated together with Nipro Corporation, a leading Japanese medical equipment manufacturer. These syringes are highly beneficial for vaccine administration, insulin delivery, cancer treatments, and use in pediatric care.
2. Medical Supply Donations to Public Hospitals: Delivery of essential medicines valued at 550 million kyats to 13 public hospitals, including: * Mandalay Teaching Hospital (300 beds) * Meiktila Public Hospital * Pyin Oo Lwin Public Hospital * Kyaukse Public Hospital * Sagaing Public Hospital * Naypyidaw Public Hospital (1,000 beds) * Paunglaung Hospital * Shwe Kya Pin Hospital * Dakkhinayone Public Hospital * Lewe Public Hospital * Mandalay Public Hospital * Kandawgyi Hospital * Mandalay Orthopedic Hospital These contributions were personally delivered by representatives of the Pacific-AA Foundation.
3. Financial Support for Disaster Relief: A cash donation of 830 million kyats was made to support rescue operations and the resettlement of earthquake-affected communities in Mandalay Region, Sagaing Region, Naypyidaw, Pyinmana, and Lewe.
The first phase of donations included:
1. Distribution of Medical Supplies: Delivery of medical supplies and equipment valued at approximately 1.83 billion kyats (183.86 million kyats) to 33 township hospitals across earthquake-affected areas.
2. Support for Employees: A total of 155.75 million kyats was provided as resettlement support to 53 employees under the Pacific-AA Group.
3. Blood Donation Initiative: In collaboration with Roche Myanmar, the Foundation organized a blood donation drive involving 192 donors, specifically in aid of earthquake victims. Nutritional support was provided to donors, along with the distribution of iron supplements worth 5 million kyats and a separate cash donation of 5 million kyats to the National Blood Bank.
As of April 12, 2025, the total value of the Foundation's donations amounts to 7.169 billion kyats (7.169 million kyats). The Pacific-AA Foundation is honored to share these charitable contributions in the spirit of compassion and solidarity with all.
